Rosh Hashanah services start Friday

BRATTLEBORO — Congregation Shir Heharim (the Brattleboro Area Jewish Community), invites people to the upcoming Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services, all of which will be led by Cantor Kate Judd, BAJC's spiritual leader, "virtually," because of COVID-19.

Rosh Hashanah evening service begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18. Morning prayer resumes Saturday, Sept. 19, at 9:30 a.m. Yom Kippur services begin on Sunday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m. with the Kol Nidre prayer. Services resume at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28. A Yizkor service to remember and honor departed loved ones will occur around 11:30 a.m. on Monday. A late afternoon service begins at 5 p.m. with a reading from the Book of Jonah, followed by Neilah, the closing service, at 6 p.m.
