Roundup: Marina, Subaru prevail on court
BRATTLEBORO — Marina defeated Walker Farm 79-71 and Brattleboro Subaru downed GS Coating 76-66 in a pair of men's league basketball games on Wednesday at the Gibson-Aiken Center.
Adam Newton and Calvin Lafland paced Marina with 23 and 22 points, respectively. Walker Farm's Oakley Payne Meyer ended up with a team-high 22 points.
Michael Masters pumped in 24 points, including four makes from downtown, to lead Subaru. KC Slate, Jim Bezanson, Zane Bullins and Ruben Garza all scored in double figures for GS Coating.
