Seven-week training for bereavement volunteers set for April 1 to May 13


BRATTLEBORO — Brattleboro Area Hospice will hold a seven week training for Bereavement Volunteers, Mondays from 5 to 8 p.m., April 1 through May 13.

Bereavement volunteers provide emotional support and companionship to individuals grieving the death loss of a loved one. Applications for the training are being accepted until March 22, or until the training group has filled.

Following the seven week training volunteers are expected to commit to one hour per week spent with a bereaved individual. The training will be held at the hospice office at

191 Canal St.

Brattleboro Area Hospice is an independent, community-based, non-profit volunteer organization that provides grassroots, volunteer-staffed programs to supplement and provide alternatives to the professional services utilized by dying and grieving community members.
