Grafton Public Library
celebrate National Poetry Month and the wonder of the spoken word. Poetry comes to the rescue during the tempestuous mid-April weather in Vermont! The library is hosting a gentle poetry slam, without elimination rounds. Participants will have up to three minutes to read or recite a poem—a personal favorite or an original piece. Of course, attendees may listen as part of the audience, without performing. All participants will get a prize. Intergenerational participation is encouraged and participants are allowed to team up with a family member or friend to perform, if desired.
