BRATTLEBORO — Samirah Evans invites all astrological signs to her traditional "Leo Party" celebration at the Stone Church at 8 p.m. Saturday, August 10.

Since joining forces in 2018, Evans and Trailer Park have offered audiences a repertoire of dance music drawing from New Orleans R&B, rock, blues and original songs. In addition to last year's Leo Party at the Stone Church, they have performed at area venues including the Shea Theater, Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center and the Green River Festival.

"Playing with Trailer Park is so much fun and we've had great chemistry since the first rehearsal," says Evans. "I've really appreciated how they've committed to learning my catalog and I how I've been able to integrate myself in to their rockin' originals. It has been such a natural union between us and we just keep expanding our repertoire."

Joining Trailer Park's regular quintet of Tom Mahnken (bass and vocals), James Robinson (guitar and vocals), Joe Fitzpatrick (drums), Greg Lauzon (saxophones) and Rick Page (saxophones) for this show is special guest pianist Peter Jones. The group has been together for more than 20 years, releasing six CDs and sharing stages with the likes of Los Lobos, NRBQ, Little Feat, Bo Diddley, WAR and Rat Dog.

Evans, whose own birthday is August 17, began hosting Leo Parties in the 1990s when she was an up-and-coming singer in New Orleans. In addition to the concert, Leos in attendance will be treated to birthday cake and additional surprises.

Tickets are $15 in advance and available through Admission at the door the evening of the show will be $18. Stone Church is located at 210 Main St.
