Streeter, Raiders to debut Saturday

BRATTLEBORO — One of the best midfielders in Vermont last season has crossed the border to play field hockey for Rivier University in Nashua, N.H.

Madison Streeter and the Raiders will open up at Gordon on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The 2019 Bellows Falls Union High School graduate scored 18 goals during her senior season to help the Terriers capture the Division 1 state championship. She was a major contributor for a program that has won 57 consecutive games and four straight titles.

Streeter's latest contest was a 3-0 victory over New Hampshire in the Twin State game. Also in Vermont's corner for that event were BF coach Bethany Coursen, along with Terriers Abbe Cravinho and Molly Kelly.

The Rivier Raiders were picked to finish eighth in their conference in the preseason coaches' poll. They went 3-12 last season.
