Table tennis, volleyball and pickleball offered at Gibson Aiken

BRATTLEBORO — The Brattleboro Recreation and Parks Department is offering table tennis, adult volleyball and pickleball programs at the Gibson Aiken Center, 207 Main St., over the next several months.

- The Table Tennis Club meets Tuesday nights from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Wednesday nights 6:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the Third Floor of the Gibson Aiken Center. This is for ping pong players of all skill levels and ages. The first hour is for warmups and practice and the second hour for competitive games between players of equal skill levels. The club tries to send groups of players to local tournaments each year. Contact Sandy Shriver, 802-257-7244 ext. 114 or ashriver@pottestewartlaw.com or the Recreation Department. The cost per night is $2 for residents and $3 for non-residents or there is a new 10 session punch card available for residents $20 and non-residents $30.

- Adult Volleyball is offered Thursdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m., through April 23, 2020. Participants of all abilities ages 18 and up are welcome. Pick-up games will take place in the gym. This is a freelance program with no instructors or officials. The cost per night is $3 for residents and $5 for non-residents or there is a 10 session punch card for $30 and $50, respectively. Join at any time if space is available.

- Co-ed Adult Pickleball is held in the gym on Tuesdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m., until April 2020. Participants of all abilities ages 18 and up are welcome. This is a freelance program with no instructor or officials. There are some indoor balls and paddles available. The cost per night is $3 for residents and $5 for non-residents. Join at any time if space is available.
