The Miles Band comes to Next Stage
PUTNEY — Next Stage Arts Project and Twilight Music present a dance party/concert featuring The Miles Band at Next Stage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. Next Stage rolls back its portable front row risers to double as a dance hall and concert venue, with a spacious dance floor between the stage and raked theater seating, for this special evening of funk, soul, rock & roll, folk/rock and reggae classics and contemporary hits.
Based in southern Vermont, The Miles Band features New England music scene veterans Peter Miles (guitar), Sean McLoughlin (drums), Tim Thrasher (bass), Steve Sontag (trumpet, flugelhorn, percussion), Jon Weeks (tenor sax) and Zack Cross (keyboards), with Miles, McLoughlin and Thrasher sharing the lead and harmony vocals, and Sontag adding additional backing vocals. The band's lively, bold and soulful sound inspires audiences of all ages and musical tastes.
