The Neighborhood Schoolhouse: 'Enchanted Halloween' set for Oct. 15

BRATTLEBORO — The Neighborhood Schoolhouse invites families to celebrate the magical side of the Halloween season for the eighth year in a row. The school will host its annual Enchanted Halloween event from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15, on the school's campus at 231 Western Ave. The event features a magical mansion, which celebrates the fantasy and wonder of the Halloween season and is meant to delight kids of all ages.

"It's more Hogwarts and less Amityville," said Josh Burns, designer of the magical mansion. Other highlights include a bouncy house, arts and crafts, scarecrow making, face painting, homemade food, and plenty of other fun.

Proceeds from the event benefit the school's scholarship fund.

"Our scholarship fund makes it possible for all students to experience our unique educational model, which blends a rich academic curriculum with social learning and genuine community," said Alissa Bourque, principal of Neighborhood Schoolhouse. Tickets are $5 for kids, $8 for adults, or $25 for a family pass. Order tickets online by going to
