Town offices closed Monday for Presidents' Day

In observance of Presidents' Day, all Brattleboro town offices will be closed on Monday, with the exception of emergency services.

Parking is free at all metered spaces and in the pay-and-display lots on Sunday and Monday. All other violations will be enforced.

Brooks Memorial Library will be closed on Sunday and Monday.

Trash, recycling, and composting are not affected by the holiday. Collections will take place on the normal schedule.

The office of the Brattleboro Housing Partnerships will be closed on Monday.

Post offices across the state will be closed on Monday in celebration of Presidents' Day. Retail offices will be closed and only Priority Mail Express and Guaranteed Overnight packages will be delivered.

The Postal Service's 24 hour service kiosks across the state will be available, as will usps.com, where you can initiate a forward, track packages, purchase postage or apply for a job right from the comfort of your home.

Normal delivery and retail operations will resume on Tuesday.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
