Waryas is aiming for ESPN job
BRATTLEBORO — Bellows Falls Union High School senior Griffin Waryas is hoping to cover football for ESPN in the future.
"Football is just what I enjoy. It's my passion," said the quarterback for the Terriers.
Waryas is currently deciding between UConn and Springfield College.
"I've visited Springfield three times. It's nice, I really like it there," stated Waryas.
He is gaining experience by writing for his school's newspaper. The three-sport athlete recently wrote a story on BF's varsity teams and is planning on doing a preview of the Division 2 football playoffs once the seeds are set.
Waryas stopped by the Brattleboro Reformer on Saturday morning to speak with sports editor Shane Covey about sports journalism, asking such things as "What's the best part about this job?" and "What is the greatest challenge?"
