West Dover welcomes new pastor

WEST DOVER >> The members of West Dover Congregational Church, an Open and Affirming member of the United Church of Christ, have called Pastor Jeremy Kirk to serve as their new settled pastor.

This comes after two years of a democratically run search process led by the members of the congregation. Kirk comes to Dover from First Congregational Church of West Brattleboro, where he has served as interim pastor since February of 2015.

Kirk is originally from Idaho. He attended college at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash. He completed a master's degree in Christian Theology and Ethics at Union Theological Seminary in New York where he is also pursuing a PhD in Christian Social Ethics.

Kirk has a background in social justice organizing and education. He is thrilled to join the ministry team at West Dover Congregational Church and looks forward to collaborating with them in their ongoing pursuit of love, community and justice in and beyond the Valley.

Kirk lives in Marlboro with his partner, Kayla and children, Ben and Vera who are both 5. Their family is expecting a third child in January.
