Your Thanks: Elizabeth McLoughlin

Editor of the Reformer,

I'd like to thank the voters of Brattleboro for their trust in me, as I look forward to serving as a Brattleboro Selectperson. Where else but Brattleboro can you run in a four-way contested election and end up with three new friends? I thank my colleagues Daniel Quipp, with whom I look forward to serving, Franz Reichmann, also the Chair of the RTM Finance Committee, and Oscar Heller, who ran such a spirited campaign.

Many thanks to Hillary Francis, the Brattleboro Town Clerk, and her staff for their excellent work on behalf of all Brattleboro. I thank Cor Trowbridge and all the people at BCTV as well as the Brattleboro Reformer, especially Melanie Winters and Chris Mays, the Commons, especially Olga Peters and Randy Holhut, and iBrattleboro for their coverage of the campaign. I also thank Annie Latchis and the staff at the River Garden, Amelia Darrow and Mel Motel, Executive Director of the Brattleboro Community Justice Center.

I am truly humbled and grateful to all my supporters including: Liz Bankowski, Mary White, Joyce Sullivan, Sharon Snider, Dede Cummings, Linda Whelihan and Tom Grasso, Rod Francis and Brandy Saxton and my special pen pals: Martha B. Straus, Christie Herbert, Elizabeth Ungerleider, Robert Pu, Kathy Urffer, Hank and Diana Lang, Bill and Lena Jahn, Jennifer Jacobs, Spencer Crispe and Melissa and Jeff Clark.

As always, I thank my husband Tom who indulges me in all my civic participation and my media consultants Mary and Isabel.

I look forward to working with Tim Wessel, Brandy Starr, David Schoales and Daniel Quipp to do the best for our beloved Brattleboro.

Elizabeth McLoughlin

Brattleboro, March 6
