Your Thanks: Safe Place Child Advocacy Center

Posted

Editor of the Reformer,

We here at Safe Place Child Advocacy Center would like to take a few moments to sincerely thank our community for all of the support we receive. We just hosted our 3rd Annual Youth Fishing Derby. It was such a beautiful and fun event! And, the entire process of planning the event was so smooth. Here's why: Joe and the crew at Sportsmen, Inc. in Guilford have allowed us to host our derby three years in a row, always donating the club to us for the day. Not only do they meet us to open the gate when the fish are delivered, they also help stock the pond! They have always been so friendly and supportive, and most of all, helpful. Joe even called after the derby to find out how it went. Our hearts are so full.

We also feel so blessed to have the support of our financial sponsors — Al's Towing, Applied Bolting, Vermont Country Store, Runnings, Wayside Fences, WB Management, River Valley Credit Union, and Barrows and Fisher! Seriously, without these businesses, many of whom have consistently donated, there would be no derby! We are so grateful to have so many generous businesses in our community, and are so happy to partner with them in order to host this really fun event. Thank you!

Several other businesses donated so many raffle and prize items, and we would also like to tip our hats their way as well. Part of the reason why our Youth Fishing Derby is so fun is because we have so many cool and fun prizes!

Thank you to all of the fine businesses and people in our area who helped make our derby a success! The appreciation and gratitude we have reminds us again how lucky we are to live and work here in Brattleboro, where the community helps nonprofit organizations like ours!
