Editor of the Reformer,

The Winter Solstice Celebration at the Stone Church was a joyous collaboration to bring people together to benefit the Brattleboro prayer flag project, a community arts initiative. Generous donations of fresh local food was provided by Against the Grain, Vermont Bread Company, Amy's Bakery Arts Cafe, Four Columns Inn and Superfresh! Organic Cafe. The Seven Sisters, Fantastic Partnerz and Lunar Effects performed uplifting music. Ben Homola and Leslie Zucker led the spirited "Conscious Dance" movement, Elise Gunzburg guided the solstice ceremony and Heather Miller produced the event flyer. These voluntary contributions made the annual return of sunlight a time of resurgence and momentum for the new year. We are grateful to the Stone Church for providing the venue for the community celebration.
