Editor of the Reformer:

I'm writing to support Michelle Bos-lun in her run for our Windham County state house seat. I've known Michelle for almost two decades and she is consistent in her values and commitment to social justice and caring about the community both locally and globally.

Her vast experience living and leading educational programs around the globe and her long residency in Vermont working as an educator and in social services in southern Vermont give her the perspective to address the critical issues to be addressed by our legislature in the coming session. She has been a strong advocate for mental health, affordable housing, and Vermont students.

Michelle started the Global Connections program at the Compass School in 2004, designing and leading a group of 13 Vermont students and a faculty member to India when she was a graduate student in International Education at SIT. Compass students have participated annually in international programs since, building connections and understanding between Vermonters and people around the world.

Michelle is hard working and will give her all to representing our community in the state house. Her heart and head are in the right place, she's a good listener, she knows the needs of the community, and she will speak strongly for all of us. I encourage all to support her candidacy in the coming primary on August 11.
