BRATTLEBORO — Police are looking for help identifying the suspect of an armed robbery.

At about 2:45 p.m. Saturday, officers from the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at Achllie Agway on Putney Road. The suspect claimed he had a gun and threatened to shoot the clerk at the gas pumps if he did not give him the money in the register, according to a news release.

Police said the clerk handed over the money and the suspect fled on foot down Wellington Road towards the train tracks. Brattleboro officers were assisted by Vermont and New Hampshire State Police and the Chesterfield, N.H., Police Department as they searched the area but did not locate the suspect.
